• Requesting account deletion by contacting us
• Unsubscribing from email communications

Withdrawal of consent may limit your ability to use certain features of the Platform.

4. Email Communications (CASL Compliance)

In accordance with Canada's Anti-Spam Legislation (CASL):

• You explicitly consent to receive commercial electronic messages (daily briefings, weekly briefings, alerts, and platform updates) when you create an account and configure your email preferences
• Every email includes an unsubscribe mechanism — you can manage your preferences at any time through Settings or by clicking the unsubscribe link in any email
• We identify ourselves as the sender in all communications
• We include our contact information in all commercial messages

5. Data Sharing and Disclosure

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information. We may share your information only in the following circumstances:

• Service providers: We use third-party services to operate the Platform, including Supabase (authentication and database), SendGrid (email delivery), and Stripe (payment processing). These providers only access your data as necessary to perform their services and are bound by their own privacy policies.
• Team members: If you are part of a Team or Enterprise subscription, your name and activity on shared features (shared watchlists, shared tracking files, team activity feed) may be visible to other members of your organization.
• Legal requirements: We may disclose your information if required by law, court order, or governmental authority.

6. Data Storage and Security

Your data is stored on secure servers hosted in North America. We implement industry-standard security measures including:

• Encrypted data transmission (HTTPS/TLS)
• Secure authentication with JWT token verification
• Regular database backups
• Access controls limiting who can view your data

While we take reasonable measures to protect your information, no method of electronic transmission or storage is 100% secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security.

7. Data Retention

We retain your personal information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide you with the Platform's services. Upon account deletion or subscription cancellation:

• Your account and personal preferences will be removed within 30 days
• Notes, annotations, and tracking files you created will be deleted
• We may retain anonymized usage data for analytics purposes
• We may retain certain data as required by law or for legitimate business purposes (e.g., billing records)

8. Your Rights Under PIPEDA

As a Canadian resident, you have the right to:

• Access: Request a copy of the personal information we hold about you
• Correction: Request correction of inaccurate or incomplete personal information
• Withdrawal of consent: Withdraw your consent to the collection, use, or disclosure of your personal information
• Complaint: File a complaint with the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada if you believe your privacy rights have been violated

The Platform uses essential cookies for authentication and session management. These cookies are necessary for the Platform to function and cannot be disabled. We do not use third-party advertising cookies or cross-site tracking technologies.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes via email or through the Platform. Your continued use of the Platform after notification constitutes acceptance of the updated policy. We encourage you to review this policy periodically.
